Christians Against Poverty to Help Holt Park

Charity organisation, Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is offering free debt counselling advice to the people of Holt Park and the surrounding Leeds 16 area.

The charity, which works all across the UK, is designed to help people manage their financial situation. The main aspect of the team’s work is to help those who are burdened with debt but also people who are beginning to feel the pinch and need some structure to their finances.

CAP look to help anyone who is struggling through a face-to-face service in the local area. The Wharfedale Vineyard Church is the partner of CAP that operates across Holt Park. They meet every Sunday morning at Ralph Thoresby School to offer help to anyone in the community regardless of religious belief, race, sexual orientation etc.

The high quality debt management team, which has been recommended by Martin Lewis – The Money Saving Expert, are available for personnel appointments which can be arranged by calling free on 0800 328006.

Founded 15 years ago in Bradford the charity now has over 160 centres across the UK helping people manage their debt.

Gwen Procter, Leeds and Wharefdale Centre Manager said: “This Spring we added two more centres to those already working in Leeds and are pleased that we can provide our holistic, face-to-face service to those living in Leeds 16.”

    Maybe you would like to run an article on debt? It is quite a large subject covering benefit uptake, financial inclusion, and much more…. It would probably be good to run an article as a lead up to Christmas. Do you fancy a visit to the Wharfedale Vineyard or have you already been. I have attended two services and they are very accommodating and friendly….. Let me know if you are free this Sunday. Alan
