Holt Park Refreshments Fundraiser

A cleaned up area of Holt Park is now to be put to fund raising use.

The outdoor square built onto Holt Park Leisure Centre will hold tea and coffee mornings to raise money for Holt Park Gala, more details on the festival will be announced when further information is available.

The next tea and coffee morning will be held on this Saturday on the 14th of May.

The area is now fit for use after the Holt Park Tenants and Residents Association along with volunteers successfully gave new life to the square, in between the ASDA and Holt Park Leisure Centre last week.

The paved area, which runs alongside the seats and trolley bays in Holt Park Shopping Centre, was overgrown and in need of some care and attention as can be seen in the pictures below.

With some pruning, weeding and cutting back more light is let into shopping centre and the area becomes perfect for events to take place there.

These improvements can be seen in the images below.
