Kidz in Kampz Fun Day a Great Success

The Kidz in Kampz fun day was a big hit in raising money for their cause.

The event which took place on Saturday 10th July in the Holt Park Shopping Centre went a long way to help raise money for Kidz in Kampz.

There was a variety of stalls with something for everyone from clothes and bric-a-brac stalls to the traditional tombola.

The tombola was a big hit as the stall had to be restocked with winning prizes on more than one occasion.

Tombola: Just a small selection of the prizes on offer

As well as the tombola to try your luck at, there was the raffle in which a luxurious dolls house was on offer as first prize.

Small but might: The money raised will make a big difference thanks to this minature prize.

However, if you had a bit of a sweet tooth then the “pick a lolly stall” was for you with the prizes being a variety of sweets.

You could also go enjoy a cake and a drink in the ABC Cafe if you was feeling like a little rest.

Also the Holt Park Tenants and Residents Association had a stall offering info on the work they do in the local community and selling a few bits and pieces to help raise money.

However, there was of course a serious reason and message behind the fun day.

The work that Kidz in Kampz does is of great importance to the people of Thailand and Burma.

Working on the border of the two nations, Kidz in Kampz helps children living in camps for displaced people.

Overall, the day organised by Kidz in Kampz was a great success in helping to raise money and awareness for their charity and the work they do.
