Ralph Thoresby students are taking the initiative to help tidy up various parts of Holt Park and the surrounding area tomorrow.
Students from year 9 will be helped by various organisations in a day long event designed to improve three areas of our local community.
Holt Park District Shopping Centre Project
The area overlooking the shopping centre next to the green metal seats will be given a spring clean in preparation for the Holt Park Mini Jubilee Event in the Shopping Centre. The students from Ralph Thoresby High School will be helped by members of construction company Interserve and Groundwork Leeds.
Holt Park Estate Entrance Project
Here the Holt Park Entrance will be worked on by another group of year 9 pupils and Groundwork Leeds. There will be a variety of horticultural improvements taking place from planting trees and flowers to bird-box making. They will be guided by the Forestry Team from Otley Chevin.
St Paul’s Church Project
And finally the Ralph Thoresby students will be taking part in a tidy up at St Paul’s Church and surrounding wooded area.
If you are out and about tomorrow keep your eyes peeled for any hard working volunteers helping to improve the local area.
We would also be interested if any body reading this would like to be involved with future events like this.
