North West Leeds CID are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery at a bank in Horsforth yesterday morning.(16/08)
Officers were called to Santander on Town Street, Horsforth at 11:10am following reports of masked men trying to enter the premises.
The pair, believed to be carrying a weapon, were unable to enter the premises after repeatedly trying to force open the main door by hand.
After leaving empty-handed the two men entered a black car, believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa, which was driven by a third man.
The car is believed to have pulled up in front of the bank prior to the incident, after turning around in the street moments earlier.
