Holt Park Crime Report, Leeds, LS16

Holt Park Crime Update

There has had one burglary reported this week on Kenworthy Garth this occurred between 00:00-02:25 hrs on 22/05/13. Person/s remove door lock barrel from rear door gaining entry to property. Person/s are then disturbed by occupant and leave property taking accessible items. 3 males have been arrested for this offence and enquiries are ongoing.

There has been one criminal damage report that occurred on Holtdale Road. Person/s unknown have caused damage by unknown means to a property window.

Some property was taken from a garden on Holtdale Gardens. This occurred between 21st and 24th May 2013. Please refrain from leaving anything of great value in your garden. In recent weeks there has been a handful of calls regarding people driving around the estate looking for scrap. Unfortunately sometimes, things are removed without the owners consent. This is why we need to make sure that anything of value is not left insecure. If anybody witnesses such a thing, please do not hesitate to contact the police on the non emergency number of 101.

There has been no anti social behaviour calls this week, which is fantastic news. High visibility patrols will continue on and around the estate.

Cookridge Crime Update

There has been one report of an attempt burglary this week. This occurred on Woodhill Crescent between 23:00 hrs on 21/05/13- 06:15 hrs on 22/05/13. Person/s unknown have attacked the beading of a ground floor UPVC window, no entry was gained.

Other than the burglary, there has been no other crime reported or antisocial behaviour calls received over the past seven days. This once again is great news for Cookridge.

Surrounding areas have seen a slight increase of theft from sheds and garages etc. It would appear that high valued cycles are been targeted. If you are in possession of a high value bike or any other valuable that you keep in an outbuilding, please consider your security. Recent thefts have involved the usual forcing of the lock and door and even the removal of the actual door. Shed alarms can be bought for low price, especially when the price of a stolen bike or other equipment is so high.

Adel Crime Report

There has been one report of a theft that occurred from a garden on Dunstarn Drive. This occurred between 17:30 hrs on 22/05/13- 08:30 hrs on 23/05/13. Please can this be a timely reminder to local residents not to leave any valuables unattended. Leaving items on show to passing thieves is an open invitation.

There has been no calls relating to anti social behaviour, which again is brilliant news. High visibility patrols will continue in the area in an effort to deter any calls.

Horsforth Crime Report

Not a good week unfortunately regarding burglaries, with four reported in the past seven days.

The first occurred on 18/05/13 on South Row. Person/s have tried to jemmy the rear UPVC door to no avail. They have then removed the beading from the bottom panel of the door and proceeded to kick it through. A tidy search was made and property was removed. 1 male has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

Due to an insecure window the second occurred on Cragg Wood Road overnight of the 23rd May 2013. Entry was gained through the insecure window and property taken from the living room area.

A property on Broadgate Crescent was broken in to between 22:45 hrs on 24/05/13 and 07:10 hrs on 25/05/13. Person/s have used an unknown implement to attack the euro profile lock. Entry was gained, but a further door prevented them gaining access to the whole house. A house on Stanhope Drive was also broken in to over within the same period of time and entry was gained by the same means. Enquiries are ongoing.

Four thefts from vehicles have been reported this week. These have happened on Outwood Lane and Long Row. Entry was gained to both vehicles by smashing a window and property was taken from one. Person/s gained entry to a vehicle on Regent Road by unknown means and property was taken. A van was then broken in to Clarence Gardens after access was gained by creating a hole next to the rear door lock.

A shed and a garage were broken in to this week. The first occurred on West End Lane between 22:00 hrs on 12/05/13 and 17:00 hrs on 22/05/13. Entry was gained by person/s unscrewing the shed door and a cycle was stolen. Entry was gained to a secure garage on Town Street by unknown means, no property was taken. This offence happened overnight of the 23/05/13.

It would appear that high valued cycles are still been targeted.

A cycle marking event was held by PCSO’s Rob Southwood and James Wishart at Tiangle Cycles, Long Row on 25th May 2013. 20 cycles were marked.

PCSO’s were out in force on the evening of 19th May 2013 on Southway checking if any vehicles were left insecure. 10 vehicles in total were found insecure, which is an open invitation to passing criminals. We really cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure your vehicle is secure.

We have received one call regarding anti social behaviour on King George Avenue. The call related to a quad bike driving in an inappropriate manner with young children on it also. If anybody witnesses this again, please do not hesitate to contact us.
