Burglary hot spot on Holt Park Estate

ASB & Drugs:
Holtdale Fold & Lawn, daily all times

Holtdale Lawn and Fold continue to be patrolled but both quiet this week. Officers have monitored Holtdale Approach after obstruction have been received.

There has been 1 report of burglary which occurred on Holt Park Crescent where a rear patio door was smashed, the alarm activated which alerted the neighbours who subsequently called the police. The offender/s managed to remove a Phillips LCD flat screen TV before making off unseen.

Anything else of note
Whilst on patrol officers are still finding vehicles that have not been locked. Please ensure your vehicles are locked and your valuables are not left on display.

Now that the darker earlier nights are here we recommend the use of timer switches, they are a cheap and easy deterrent, any homes we find in darkness we are leaving a letter to raise awareness of how easy a target the property is.

Good News Stories
Due to increased patrols in our area crime has remained low. Officers have been targeting scrap collecting vehicles to help combat recent metal thefts as a result we have noticed a decrease in the amount of metal thefts.
