Headingley LitFest: The Dragon Who Hates Poetry

March 3rd, 2015 · No Comments · Events

The Dragon Who Hates Poetry with Dommy B
This coming Saturday will be mainly for children during the daytime. Bring them along to the Meanwood Institute (it’s just down the road from Waitrose) in the morning to be entertained by Dommy B, especially if they are of primary age, and come along yourself in the afternoon for a national figure in the world of children’s books – Nicolette Jones. She’ll be at the New Headingley Club, which is a short walk from North Lane. Children are welcome there as well. You could give them some of your cake.

This Thursday Janet Douglas will speak about Lettice Cooper, on Friday Peter Spafford and Richard Ormrod will be at Café Lento, on Saturday evening you can listen to singing from Red Ladder and on Sunday it’s Irish Day, with plenty of Samuel Beckett and a comic account of some extraordinary festivals.
