A local garden in Cookridge in conjunction with the National Garden Scheme, has opened it’s gates for the general public to enjoy.
The ¼-acre hidden suburban garden is described as an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Differing levels made by owners using old stone, found on site has beenplanted for yr round interest. Long rockery, fruit tree arbour and sheltered oriental styled seated area linked by narrow grass lawns and steps. Mixed perennials, bulbs and pots amongst paved and pebbled areas.
The garden based at 4a Blackwood Rise, Cookridge, Yorkshire, LS16 7BG won silver in a category for gardens in the West North West Area in Leeds in Bloom last year.

All proceeds from the open garden are donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
