Holt Park Bowls Club recruiting new members

Holt Park Bowls Club
Crown green bowling is a super sport for all the family. It is very competitive but is also gentle exercise. You may decide to just be a social bowler or you may decide you want to play in the bowling leagues against other Clubs in the district. League teams are a mixture of males and females and Holt Park also has a ladies only team who play on Thursday evenings.

At some Clubs you may find whole families playing in a team. Should you become good enough you could play for the County or even Great Britain, however for most of us it is enough to aspire to play in the local leagues. On a summer afternoon or evening what could be better than being out in the fresh air enjoying a game of bowls with friends and family.

There are no restrictions on either age or gender. One of Holt Park Bowls Club won the Leeds and District Over-Nineties competition in 2012 and their youngest member at the moment is seventeen.

Holt Park Bowls Club would like to invite you to come along and give it a go. It is great fun and there will always be someone around to show you how to bowl. The bowling season starts after Easter weekend and goes through to October. The Green is situated close to Farrar Lane (Leeds 16) next to the tennis courts and near the High Farm Inn.

For further information you can come along to the club and speak to one of our members or you can contact our Club Secretary, Mike Cox, on 07926 945019 at any time.
