February 7th, 2013 · No Comments · Travel

This is a press release sent to us by METRO regarding the presentation of the NGT Trolley bus presentation held at Ralph Thoresby High School on Thursday 31 January 2013

68 Holt Park residents attended a presentation by members of the New Generation Transport (NGT) Trolleybus scheme at Ralph Thoresby School. Members of the NGT trolleybus team also took part in a Q & A session in which Holt Park residents were able to ask anything they were concerned about and to get the facts about the scheme direct from the experts.

NGT Project Director Dave Haskins said

“It was great to see the level of interest in Holt Park,” Residents asked a wide range of questions about NGT and the effect it could have on existing bus services, its environmental impact and the possible effect on local traffic and its cost.”

“While we accept there will be some who oppose the scheme, we are always pleased to have the opportunity to counter any misinformation circulating and help to ease people’s concerns about what we believe will be a fantastic and transformational public transport project ”

Added Haskins.

More information about NGT can be found at www.ngtmetro.com and any group that would like members of the NGT team to come along and give a presentation and Q&A on the project, should contact us at ngtinfo@wypte.gov.uk marked ‘presentation request’ in the subject line or write to NGT, Wellington House, Leeds, LS1 2DE.
