Children at Cookridge Primary School have been out in the local area helping plant flowers.
Two groups of pupils helped Sam Perry from Groundworks Leeds plant bulbs on grass verges in Holt Park.
This had been organised by the “Bulb planting in the Community” project, involving Councillors Sue Bentley, Judith Chapman and Ben Chastney.
Despite the recent poor weather the children were in high spirits to create a brighter looking area.
The children were joined by Cllr Bentley who helped them with the planting.
The children had a great day and cannot wait to see the results in Spring.

Fantastic stuff. It is great seeing young people involved in improving the environment. I wait to see all the daffodils come out in Spring.
We think this is fantastic stuff too! Hopefully we can do a follow up article in the spring, and capture some pictures once the daffodils are out! :)
This is great stuff! We hope to achieve the same at some stage in Adel.
