Looks very interesting, but what are they doing? My money is on a mini roundabout, which should be fun. Shame more people don’t know what to do when they get to one though. But let’s be positive. all this hold up has to be for the good!!!!!!!! Hasn’t it?

Hi Duncan, I will tell you what the design proposals were that had been submitted in July this year to the Chief Officer of Highways & Transportation:

    1. Installation of signal control at the Otley Old Road/Tinshill Lane junction with pedestrian facilities.
    2. Improvement of the existing footway links to the new crossings and local school.
    3. Installation of new linked signals which the adjacent fire station can control in order to avoid traffic using the junction.
    4. Toucan crossing constructed across southern arm of the junction and new cycle tracks constructed to link it with gthe adjacent service road and Tinshill Lane.
    5. Advanced stop lines on all arms for cyclists.
    6. Tactile dropped crossings guiding pedestrians safely past the adjacent shopping parade and car park, and
    7. Introduction of a one way operation from Otley Old Road to Tinshill Lane on the access road fronting tghe shops at the junction, to prevent drivers obstructing fire appliances when on emergency call-out.

Trust Duncan this gives you some insight into what it will look like when finished.

    Regards

    Alan
