The Bramhope Round Table Santa in his colourful float has been a staple of the North Leeds community for decades.
Children and adults alike look forward to Santa and his elves knocking on the doors raising funds for a chosen charity while ringing in the festive cheer with sweets for children.The charity this year is the Candle Lighters – the childhood cancer charity based in Yorkshire – helping children and parents cope with the disease and diagnosis. According to Bramhope Round Table Chairman Ben Mackenzie:
”We intend to raise a total of £3,000 this year to support our chosen charities, above all we look forward to putting a big smile on the faces of children in the area when they see Santa visiting them in their streets”.
The float wil be around in the areas at the following days and times:
Sunday Dec 12th 4-8pm – Starting at the Adel Memorial Hall, Saddlers, St Helens Lane, Dunstans, Oaklands, Adel Lane and surrounding streets,
Tuesday Dec 14th 6-8 pm– Starting at Adel Green, St George Martin Drive, Long Causeway, East Causeway and surrounding streets,
Wednesday Dec 15th 6-8pm – Holt Park Area
Sunday Dec 19th 4-8pm and Tuesday 18th 6-8pm – In and around Bramhope Village Centre- Cedars, Birches, Rowans, Long Meadows, Hilton Grange, Creskelds, Poplars, Long Meadows, Parklands
Wednesday Dec 21st 6-8 pm – West Park Area
